~ Prince Caspian ~ (1951)

Glenstorm is a prophet and stargazer as well as a very wise and noble centaur. When he sees the two stars Tarva and Alambil meeting in the heavens, he knows it is time for war and offers himself and his sons to Caspian. Caspian and the others are surprised at the suggestion of battle, but Glenstorm is very insistent that the meeting at the Dancing Lawn be a council of war. At the Dancing Lawn, Doctor Cornelius arrives to warn everyone that the enemy has discovered them. Caspian does not want to run away from his uncle Miraz, but Glenstorm wisely tells him that "those who run first do not always run last," and they leave for Aslan's How. Later on, when King Peter sends a challenge of single combat to Miraz, Glenstorm accompanies Edmund to deliver the message. When Miraz accepts the challenge, Glenstorm is chosen as one of the three Marshals for the duel. After the battle is over, Glenstorm stands by Caspian as the four Pevensies return to their world.

~ The Last Battle ~ (1956)

Glenstorm is there to welcome the friends of Narnia at the final reunion.

About Glenstorm

Glenstorm is the visionary of the Old Narnian rebellion. He has watched the stars for many years and reads the future in their movements. He is also a very impressive and warlike centaur, who harbors no illusions about the nature of the rebellion. Glenstorm sees from the first that their rebellion against Miraz will be fought out in pitched battle, and his realism sobers Caspian and the others who previously had not realized the gravity of the situation. It is clear that Glenstorm has spent many years preparing for this war, as he and his sons are ready to join Caspian's forces as soon as the prince appears among the Old Narnians. Glenstorm's contribution, from his initial stargazing to his part as a Marshal during the duel, greatly furthers Caspian's cause and helps bring about the success of the Old Narnian rebellion.
