Mrs. Beaver is busy at her sewing machine when Mr. Beaver walks in with the four Pevensies. She exclaims, "So you’ve come at last! At last! To think that ever I should live to see this day!" After dinner the Beavers tell the children that [[Aslan]] is on the move and that there is a prophecy that says when two sons of Adam and two daughters of Eve sit on the thrones at Cair Paravel, the [[White Witch]]’s reign will end. The Beavers are discussing their plans to take the four children to [[Aslan]] at the Stone Table when they notice that [[Edmund Pevensie|Edmund]] is missing. Mr. Beaver realizes that [[Edmund Pevensie|Edmund]] has met the [[White Witch]] in Narnia before and has gone to betray them. Mrs. Beaver wisely points out that [[Edmund Pevensie|Edmund]] will probably tell the [[White Witch]] where they are and where they will be going, and that they should leave quickly (though not before packing some important supplies). The two Beavers set out with the three remaining Pevensies for the Stone Table, leaving their dam to be destroyed by the [[White Witch|Witch]]’s Wolves. Along the way they meet [[Father Christmas]], who gives Mr. Beaver the gift of a completed dam and Mrs. Beaver a new sewing machine. The Beavers safely lead [[Peter Pevensie|Peter]], [[Susan Pevensie|Susan]], and [[Lucy Pevensie|Lucy]] to [[Aslan]]. After [[Edmund Pevensie|Edmund]] is rescued and the battle against the [[White Witch]] is won, the Beavers are among the Narnians who celebrate the coronation of the four Pevensies at Cair Paravel. They are a typical married couple; Mr. Beaver works on their dam while Mrs. Beaver cooks and sews. But their lives are forever changed by the rumors of [[Aslan]]’s return to Narnia and the arrival of the four Pevensies. The two Beavers are overjoyed to find the children because it means the prophecy foretelling the end of the [[White Witch]] may be fulfilled in their lifetime. The Beavers are excellent guides through Narnia as they elude the [[White Witch|Witch]]’s police and bring the Pevensies to [[Aslan]].
