Drinian and [[Caspian]] explain the voyage's purpose and their adventures thus far. Drinian laughs at [[Eustace Clarence Scrubb|Eustace]] when [[Eustace Clarence Scrubb|Eustace]] complains about the (non-existent) storm. When their friends are captured on the Lone Islands, Drinian plans with [[Caspian]] and [[Lord Bern]] how to rescue them and reconquer the islands. As they ride through Narrowhaven, all the young women come out to cheer at Drinian, [[Caspian]], and the rest because they are all so handsome. Later during a storm at sea, Drinian manages to keep the Dawn Treader together and steers the ship to Dragon Island. When [[Eustace Clarence Scrubb|Eustace]] in dragon-form lands on the shore between the crew and the ship, Drinian warns [[Lucy Pevensie|Lucy]] that the dragon's tears could be a ploy. As they approach the dragon, Drinian recognizes the band on its arm as belonging to the [[Lord Octesian]]. After [[Eustace Clarence Scrubb|Eustace]] is restored and the quest continues, Drinian steers them safely though the sea-serpent's waters, to Deathwater Island, and then on to the Island of the Voices. After the adventures with the [[Chief and the Dufflepuds|Duffers]] there, Drinian recounts their journey thus far to the magician [[Coriakin]], who creates two maps of their travels and gives one to Drinian. Later when they are approaching the Dark Island, Drinian does not want to enter, but does after [[Reepicheep]] criticizes it as cowardice. They rescue [[Lord Rhoop]] there, but Drinian cannot steer them away until [[Aslan]] sends a great albatross to lead them out of the darkness. Drinian is there when the last three lords are discovered on Ramandu's Island. When [[Caspian]] decides that he is going on with [[Reepicheep]] and not returning to Narnia, Drinian is among those who rebuke [[Caspian]] for this resolution.
