[[File:3786.jpg|left]]Pattertwig the Talking Squirrel is living in hiding in the forest with the rest of the Old Narnians, when one day Trufflehunter, Trumpkin, and Nikabrik introduce him to Caspian. Pattertwig immediately starts chattering excitedly and offers Caspian a nut. After retrieving a nut for Caspian, Pattertwig asks if there are any messages he can carry to the other Old Narnians. Trufflehunter and the Dwarfs tell Pattertwig to inform dozens of Old Narnians in hiding to meet at the Dancing Lawn, and Pattertwig bounds off to carry the message. Later during the battle against Miraz, when Caspian decides to blow the magic horn, Pattertwig is chosen to go to Lantern Waste to see if any help is sent there.

==About Pattertwig==
-
Pattertwig is a vivacious and excitable creature who is delighted to meet Caspian and immediately offers to serve him in whatever way he can. Being a polite Squirrel, he offers Caspian a nut at their first meeting. Pattertwig is well-acquainted with all the Old Narnians in hiding and enjoys carrying messages rapidly through the forest. Pattertwig loves to chatter, and this makes him a comical figure (especially when he tells everyone to be quiet for Caspian's speech and is himself the loudest disturbance). But he is not as flighty as the other Squirrels and is trusted with the mission of meeting whatever help is sent to Lantern Waste.
