==Bio Info== Title: Giant Rumblebuffin Age: Unknown Species: Friendly Giant Home: The Witch's Courtyard Physical Description:He has an honest ugly face and is, of course, very large Tools: A giant club First Appearance: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Ch. 16 (1950), first referenced in Ch. 9 ==Appearances== ===~ The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe ~ (1950)=== Rumblebuffin is a giant who once attempted to take on the White Witch in her own courtyard. The Witch, of course, turned him to stone with her wand. He stays there as a statue until Aslan breathes on him. After knocking down the wall of the courtyard at Aslan's request, Rumblebuffin accepts Lucy's offer of her handkerchief to mop his brow (though Lucy has a close call when Rumblebuffin almost mistakes her for the handkerchief). He then joins the other liberated Narnians as they follow Aslan to aid Peter and Edmund on the battlefield. ==About Rumblebuffin== Rumblebuffin is well-intentioned but not overbright and has a pleasant personality. He is very polite, as shown by his gracious acceptance and use of Lucy's tiny handkerchief. Although he was turned into a statue for his pains, his challenge to the Witch in her own courtyard demonstrated great courage. Though he is not very educated, he is willing to do whatever Aslan asks, and uses his great size to help the Narnian cause. ==Quotes== *"Bless me! I must have been asleep. Now! Where’s that dratted little Witch that was running about on the ground. Somewhere just by my feet it was." (LWW, Ch. 16) *"Never met a nicer handkerchee. So fine, so handy. So—I don’t know how to describe it." (LWW, Ch. 16) ==Portrayals== *Lee Tuson: Disney/Walden The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, 2005 *Peter Goodwright (voice): Focus on the Family Radio Theater, 1999 – 2002 *Ken Kitson: BBC TV series, 1988 – 1990 *Clifford Norgate (voice): BBC Radio Tales of Narnia
