==Appearances== ===~ Prince Caspian ~ (1951)=== Trumpkin lives in hiding with the other Old Narnians during Miraz's reign. When he, Trufflehunter, and Nikabrik find Caspian, the rightful king of Narnia, unconscious in the woods, Trumpkin helps take care of him. Soon Trumpkin becomes one of Caspian's strongest supporters. He introduces Caspian to many of the Old Narnians, and fights by his side as they defend Aslan's How from Miraz's army. When the decision is made to blow Queen Susan's horn, Trumpkin volunteers to journey to the ruins of Cair Paravel and look for the promised help, even though he makes it clear that he does not believe in the old legends. Along the way, he risks a shortcut across open country and is captured by the Telmarines. He is taken to be drowned near Cair Paravel when the Pevensies rescue him. He tells them his story, and they realize that it was Susan's horn that has drawn them into Narnia. Trumpkin is still doubtful of their claims until Edmund beats him in a duel, Susan beats him in a shooting match, and Lucy heals his wound. As they make their way to Aslan's How, Trumpkin is among the last to see Aslan. The Dwarf is converted to believing the old legends after Aslan tosses him up in the air a few times and gently catches him. After the second Battle of Beruna, King Caspian bestows the Knighthood of the Order of the Lion upon Trumpkin. ===~ The Voyage of the Dawn Treader ~ (1952)=== Trumpkin is left at Cair Paraval as Lord Regent while Caspian undertakes the quest to sail to the end of the world searching for the lost Lords of Narnia. ===~ The Silver Chair ~ (1953)=== Fifty years after the voyage of the Dawn Treader, Trumpkin is reappointed Lord Regent as King Caspian sets sail once again to seek Aslan in the Lone Islands. Not long after the king leaves, Trumpkin meets Eustace and Jill. Since his hearing is poor, it takes him some time to understand that they have been sent by Aslan. But when he does understand, he tells Glimfeather the Owl to see that bedchambers and clothes are provided for them and to "see that they're properly washed." Glimfeather warns the children not to tell Trumpkin of their mission to find Prince Rilian, because Caspian had forbidden anyone to undertake that task. Many Narnian heroes had vanished in the search for the Prince, and it is likely that Trumpkin would not allow Jill and Eustace to go. Trumpkin is present when Caspian sees his son Rilian for the last time. ===~ The Last Battle ~ (1956)=== Trumpkin is there to welcome the friends of Narnia at the final reunion. ==About== ==Quotes== ==Inspiration== ==Bio Info== Titles: Age: Species: Home: Physical Description: Tools: First Appearance: Portrayals:
